OH&S Air Monitoring

ESP provides an extensive air monitoring service for both workplace (generally indoor) hazard exposures (Occupational Exposures) and environmental (outdoor) air monitoring requirements.

Investigations are tailored to client’s needs and can range from a preliminary survey through to detailed exposure assessments with statistical evaluation.

Workplace Air Monitoring determines the actual exposure of an employee to noise, chemical or other hazards while conducting their normal work. Para-occupational or ‘area’ air monitoring can also be conducted if required.

Occupational air monitoring is conducted for:

Nuisance dust
Inhalable dust (AS 3640-2004)
Respirable dust (AS 2985-2004)
Asbestos (Membrane Filter Method for asbestos, NOHSC: 3003 (1995))
Crystalline Silica
Ceramic Mineral Fibre (CMF – Membrane Filter Method for CMF, NOHSC: 3006 (1989))
Fibreglass (Membrane Filter Method for Fibreglass, NOHSC: 3006 (1989))

‘Heavy’ metals: cadmium, lead, chromium I, III and VI and welding fumes

Solvents, Hydrocarbons and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)
Benzene, toluene, white spirit, kerosene, petrol, ethanol, methanol, iso propyl alcohol (IPA), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and formaldehyde

Indoor Air Quality (IAQ)
Carbon dioxide and oxygen levels, relative humidity, mould, dust, ozone, formaldehyde

Sick Building Syndrome (SBS)
